The visiting Janesville (Wisconsin) Jets defeated the Kenai River Brown Bears 3-2 on Saturday in North American Hockey League action.
The game was at the Breezy Point Hockey Center, which is the Bears’ home ice until they return to the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
Janesville, at 13-7-2-0, has 28 points and is tied for first place in the Midwest Division. The Bears, at 12-13-1-1, have 26 points and are in second in the division.
Janesville got out to a 3-0 lead, scoring twice in the first period and once in the third period, before Kenai River fought back.
Brandon McNamara and Laudon Poellinger had the Bears within 3-2 with 9:11 to play, but Kenai River could not find the equalizer.
