The visiting Kenai Central baseball team defeated Houston 25-2 in four innings Friday in Southcentral Conference action, moving to 1-2 in the league and 1-2 overall.
For Kenai, Owen Whicker was 3 for 5 with four runs and three RBIs, Daniel Steffensen had three runs and two RBIs, Braden Smith was 2 for 2 with four runs, Charlie Chamberlain had two runs and three RBIs, Kalani Beddow was 3 for 4 with two runs and five RBIs, Avery Martin was 2 for 3 with four runs, and Jayden Sandahl was 3 for 3 with four runs and three RBIs.
Chamberlain pitched three innings, yielding two unearned runs on two hits while walking one and striking out four. Jackson Marion pitched a perfect inning, striking out three.

Derrick Jones had two runs for SoHi, while Andrew Pieh was 2 for 3 with three runs, Evan Appelhans was 2 for 4 and Sage Cruz had two RBIs.
