The visiting Kenai Central baseball team defeated Grace Christian on Friday 18-4 in Southcentral Conference play to move to 6-3 in the league and 7-6 overall.
Johnny Brinner pitched five innings, giving up one hit and no earned runs while striking out six.
Brinner was 3 for 4, while Gabe Smith was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and Charlie Chamberlain was 2 for 3.
Wasilla 12, Soldotna 2
The Stars fell to 10-3 overall with a nonconference loss to the Warriors on Friday.
Wasilla took control of the game by jumping out to an 8-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
Atticus Gibson went the distance for the Stars, giving up 12 runs — 11 earned — on 15 hits while walking two and striking out two.
Dylan Davidhizer had two hits for the Stars, while Jacob Belger, Gavin Jones, Gibson, Andrew Pieh, Nate Mowery and Derrick Jones added hits. Belger and Pieh had the runs, while Gavin Jones and Mowery had the RBIs.

The visiting Bears sent the Mariners to 1-7 in the Southcentral Conference and 2-9 overall. Jonathon Gregoire had the lone hit for the Mariners.
