Travis Cooper, a 2015 graduate of Kenai Central, competed for the United States in the World Cup biathlon this weekend in Oberhof, Germany.
In Friday’s 10-kilometer sprint, Cooper missed 4 of 10 targets and finished 94th, 4 minutes, 42.1 seconds, behind the winning time of 25:50.9 of Alexandr Loginov of Russia. That meant Cooper did not qualify for Saturday’s 12.5-kilometer pursuit.
Sunday, Cooper skied third as the United States finished 19th in the 4-by-7.5-kilometer relay.
