The visiting Kenai Central hockey team defeated Homer 4-2 on Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference play.
The Kardinals move to 6-7-1 overall and 2-1 in the league, while the Mariners drop to 2-5 and 0-3.
Kenai has now won all three games against Homer this season, also beating the Mariners 9-1 and 7-0.
Avery Martin led the Kardinals to victory with two goals and two assists.
Cole Langham had the lone goal of the first period, assisted by Logan Mese and Martin.
In the second period, the Kards boosted their lead to 3-0 on a pair of Martin goals. The first was unassisted and the second was assisted by Mese and Lily Langham.
In the third period, Mese put the Kards up 4-0 with a power-play strike, getting help from Mason Vermette and Martin.
Cody Thomas then closed the third period with a pair of goals for Homer. The first was assisted by Cohen Boyd and Kate Moseley, and the second was assisted by Moseley and Makary Reutov.
Seanna Swanson stopped 13 for the Kardinals, while Blaise Banks had 43 saves for the Mariners.
