The visiting Homer baseball team lost 5-2 to Houston on Friday to drop to 0-5 in the Southcentral Conference and 1-7 overall.
The game was tied at 2 after three innings, but the Hawks scored two in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Jonathon Gregoire finished 2 for 3 for Homer, while Malachi Raymond and Mylan Johnson had the runs.
Gabe Dash gave up four runs in five innings, while Brock Barth gave up an unearned run in an inning.
Wasilla 17, Kenai 4
The visiting Kardinals lost to the Warriors in nonconference play to fall to 5-6 overall.
“We put the ball in play but couldn’t find holes,” Kenai coach Luke Oliver wrote in a text message. “Wasilla hit well.”
