The Warriors ended the game due to the mercy rule in the middle of the fifth inning. The Stars fall to 4-1 overall.

Riley Johnson and Derrick Jones were not able to hold the Colony bats down on the mound. Johnson and Jones did have the only hits for the Stars.

The Kardinals fell to 0-3 overall with a loss to the Knights.

Kenai coach Luke Oliver texted that his squad played well, leading the game going into the fourth inning. The Knights put up six in that frame and the Kardinals were not able to recover.

“Pitching was better and we are putting the ball in play, just hitting it at people,” Oliver texted.

Charlie Chamberlain was 2 for 3, while Owen Whicker and Gabe Smith were 1 for 2.

The Kards play Houston at 9:30 a.m. today.
