Laker, Boonstra win Salmon Run Series

Jack Laker and Jayna Boonstra won the third race of the Salmon Run Series on Wednesday at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna.

Laker finished the 5-kilometer event in 19 minutes, 39 seconds, while Boonstra was the first women’s finisher, and fourth overall, at 21:38.

The fourth race of the series will be Wednesday at the K-Beach trailhead for Tsalteshi. The 1K kids race is at 6 p.m., while the 5K race is at 6:15 p.m.
