Monday basketball: Sewards sweeps Unalaska

The Seward girls and boys basketball teams swept Unalaska on Monday in Southern Conference action in Seward.

The red-hot Seward girls won 47-18, winning for a 17th straight time to move to 17-2 overall and 4-0 in the league. The Seahawks boys won 58-48 and are 3-1 and 10-9.

Lia Shank paced the Seward girls with 15, while Natalie Sieminski had 10, Ava Jagielski and Grace Fleming had 6, Mikinley Williams and Regan Siebert had 4, and Sevin Phillips had 2.

For Unalaska, Abija Maynard-Gumbs had 7, Adyson Scott had 4, Rylee Laforteza had 3, and Dalyla Nettleton and Lena Atonio had 2.

Talon Lemme paced the Seward boys with 16, while Noah Price had 12, Mason Elhard had 10, Van Shank had 9, Emerson Cross and Lane Petersen had 4, and Jack Lindquist had 3.

For Unalaska, Nicolas Kitsyuk had 15, Prince Aaron San Luis, Anatoly Fomin and Kaidon Parker had 10, Jade Andrei Cabatu had 2 and Adam Shapsnikoff had 1.
