Monday hoops: CIA sweeps Nanwalek

The host Ninilchik boys and girls swept Effie Kokrine

On Monday, the host Cook Inlet Academy boys and girls swept Nanwalek, while the host Ninilchik boys and girls swept Effie Kokrine.

Cook Inlet Academy girls 31, Nanwalek 29

The host Cook Inlet Academy girls narrowly topped Nanwalek 31-29 on Monday to climb to 2-19 overall.

For the Eagles, Ella Rollman put up 22 points. Mariah Smith had 3. Gabrielle Viefeld, Rebekah Dillingham and Mackenzie Carson all had 2.

Ninilchik’s Magareta Demas had 12 points. Alyson Seville had 9, Hailey Hetrick had 4 and Phontina Demas had 2.

Cook Inlet Academy boys 72, Nanwalek 43

The host Cook Inlet Academy boys dropped Nanwalek 72-43 on Monday to advance to 19-3 overall.

Alex McGarry led scoring with 34 points for the Eagles. Ian McGarry had 15, Matthew Phillips had 10, Jonas Oyoumick had 4, Owen Braband and Brady Baeten had 3 and Brandt Rollman had 2.

Marcarius Evans put up 19 for Nanwalek. Ashton Meganach had 8, Dimitri Kvosnikoff had 7, Shane Moonin had 6 and Kenji-Ty Simmons had 3.

Ninilchik girls 67, Effie Kokrine 31

The host Ninilchik girls topped Effie Kokrine 67-31 on Monday. They’re 11-12 overall.

Riley Tucker led scoring with 42 for the Wolverines. Lucy Reynolds and Klohie Hughes both had 8. Raylor Rickard had 7.

For Effie Kokrine, Trinity Hardy had 17 points. Chokriyia Reibke had 7, Maddy Frank-Charlie had 4 and Maddi Frank had 2.

Ninilchik boys 64, Effie Kokrine 28

The host Ninilchik boys took a win over Effie Kokrine 64-28 on Monday to move to 15-8 overall.

Rowan Mahoney had 20 for the Wolverines. Kade McCorison had 14, Maxx Russell had 8, Carter Lemons had 6, Ben Hand and Noah Kalugin had 4 and Gabe Kerrone had 3. Brandt Mill, Kannon Hughes and Nate Jaworski all had 2.

For Effie Kokrine, Ryan Strom had 12 points. Davian Douglas had 9, Paul Thompson had 6 and Tyrese Pika had 4.
