The Stars took a 40-32 loss to University City, California, in the game for third place. SoHi falls to 4-2 overall.

Soldotna head coach Rustin Hitchcock wrote in a text message his team got off to a tough start, but fought back pretty fiercely.

The Stars fell behind 14-5 after the first quarter, but cut the gap to 19-17 at halftime and grabbed a 27-25 lead after three quarters.
