Palmer bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Colony and scored a 3-0 victory over Kenai Central Wednesday night at Palmer High School, with scores of 25-11, 25-11 and 25-16.

Palmer, which improved to 2-4 in the Northern Lights Conference, hosts Soldotna Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Kenai, which dropped to 0-7 in conference play, is at Wasilla Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Kenai head coach Pako Whannell said the Kards were down in strength Wednesday as setter Maddie Galloway and hitter Denali Lockwood missed out due to illnesses.

“The girls did the best we could with what we have,” Whannell said. “We tried to stay positive and learn something.”

Sofia Cordero and Kristen Beames finished with six kills each for the Moose. Maya Dinwiddie added 16 assists.
