Nierenberg, Moss win Salmon Run Series 1

David Nierenberg and Emily Moss won the first Salmon Run Series race of the season Wednesday at the Skyview Middle School trailhead.

Nierenberg finished the 5-kilometer race at 18 minutes, 34 seconds, for the victory, while Moss was the top women’s racer, and fifth overall, by stopping the clock at 23:39.

This was the first of five Salmon Run Series to be held on consecutive Wednesdays. Next Wednesday’s event will again be at Skyview, this time starting near the tennis courts. The 1K kids race is at 6 p.m., with the 5K starting about 6:15 p.m.
