Nikiski boys drop opening game in Ketchikan

The Nikiski boys basketball team lost to Ketchikan 88-47 Wednesday in the opening round of the Clark Cochrane Christmas Classic in Ketchikan.

The Bulldogs play the loser of the late game between Barrow and Philomath at 2:15 p.m. today.

The Kings put 12 players in the scorebook, with Kyler Secrest leading the way with 19 points and JJ Parker adding 16.

For Nikiski, Braeden Porter pumped in 18 points, while Charlie Chamberlain had nine, David Weathers had six, Seth Payne had six, Drew Handley had four, and Mylan Johnson and Lynn Deveer each had two.
