Nikiski volleyball takes 9th at Grizzly Invite

The Nikiski volleyball team took ninth place at the Grizzly Invitational on Saturday at Grace Christian in Anchorage.

The Bulldogs finished 4-8 in pool play on Friday. Saturday, they started bracket play with a 2-0 loss to Monroe Catholic, then defeated Seward 2-0 before losing to Kotzebue 2-0.

Seward finished 13th at the tournament, finishing 1-11 in pool play.

Nikiski also had a B team entered in the tournament, because Homer’s squad stayed home from the event. Nikiski B went 0-12 in the tournament and finished tied for 13th in bracket play.
