The Oilers have recently signed a pair of players from Cal Baptist University. Outfielder Brian Ruhm, a redshirt junior from Yucaipa, California, who was a big part of the 2015 Oilers team, will be returning for the 2016 season along with freshman right-handed pitcher Andrew Bash from Palm Desert, California. The duo play for former Oilers head coach Gary Adcock, who is head coach at the Division I school.
The Oilers 2016 official Alaska Baseball League schedule is now posted on the team’s website at www.oilersbaseball.com.
The Oilers have a few paid positions open for the upcoming season. The team is seeking a field maintenance assistant to work with Oilers field maintenance director Karl Ferlin. Hours are flexible and pay will be depending on experience. Also needed is a person (or persons) to play the part of “Scoop,” the Oilers mascot, at Oilers home games.
