The Peninsula Oilers swept a doubleheader from the Anchorage Glacier Pilots on Wednesday in Alaska Baseball League play at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage.
The Oilers are now 14-25 in the ABL. They will complete regular season play today with a 6 p.m. game at the Chugiak Chinooks.
The Oilers won the first game 3-1 in eight innings. Mason Posey started the game for the Oilers and kept the Pilots off the board, while Jacob Dillon finished up the victory.
Garrett Pennington was 2 for 4, while Bryce Marsh, Henry Novicki, Owen Christy and Taylor Johnson also had hits.
The Oilers won the second game 3-0, scoring three runs in the sixth inning. Dylan Crowley, Mose Hayes and Henry Bird combined to keep the Pilots off the board.
Pennington provided the offensive highlight of the season with a tape-measure, two-run homer in the eighth. Henry Novicki added an RBI double in the inning.
