The Peninsula Oilers defeated the Anchorage Glacier Pilots 3-1 on Wednesday at Mulcahy Stadium in Alaska Baseball League play.
The Oilers picked up their first win in three tries this season, while the Pilots lost their third straight to fall to 2-5.
Oilers pitchers were able to hold Anchorage to just one hit and one unearned run.
Eddie Leon pitched the first five innings for Peninsula, giving up no hits and no runs. Colby Reynolds pitched the next three innings and gave up a hit and no runs, while Cameron Teper pitched the ninth and gave up the unearned run.
That unearned run turned out not to matter because Aidan Sullivan had a two-run single for the Oilers in the ninth. Peninsula also got an RBI double from Elijah Vogelsong-Lewis in the fourth inning. Vogelsong-Lewis also tripled and scored in the ninth inning.
Max Roffwarg and Cole Dawson also had hits for the Oilers, while Zakary Farris had a double.
The Oilers travel to Hermon Brothers Field in Palmer on Thursday to take on the Mat-Su Miners at 6 p.m.
