Ollie Dahl, Aldridge win 4th mountain bike race in Soldotna Cycle Series

Ollie Dahl and Morgan Aldridge won the fourth mountain bike race in the Soldotna Cycle Series on Thursday, Aug. 1, at Tsalteshi Trails just outside of Soldotna.

Dahl took 33 minutes, 39 seconds, to finish the 12-kilometer course, while Dylan Hogue was second at 36:58. Aldridge was the first woman, and fifth overall, at 38:20.

Mark Pierson won the 6-kilometer race in 24:00.

The next race in the Soldotna Cycle Series is Sunday Night Heat, a short-track cross country race that takes 30 minutes. The race will take place Sunday, Aug. 4, at the Skyview Middle School trailhead. The race starts at 4 p.m., while the registration opens at 3:45 p.m.

The next mountain bike race is Thursday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. Check the Tsalteshi Facebook page for location. The race starts at 6:15 p.m., while registration is at 5:45 p.m.
