Ollie Dahl, Aldridge win 5th Soldotna Cycle Series mountain bike race

Ollie Dahl and Morgan Aldridge won at the Soldotna Cycle Series mountain bike race Thursday, Aug. 8, at Tsalteshi Trails.

Dahl finished the 12-kilometer course in 34 minutes, 40 seconds, while Dylan Hogue was next at 35:38 and Aldridge was right behind in third, and the first woman, at 35:42.

The 6-kilometer race went to Jonah Rigueiro in 20:15.

The last mountain bike race of the Soldotna Cycle Series will be Thursday, Aug. 15. There will again be a 6- and 12-kilometer race. Registration is at 5:45 p.m., while the race starts at 6:15 p.m.

The Soldotna Cycle Series then concludes Sunday, Aug. 18, with Tsalteshi Gauntlet 2024. Registration is at 1:30 p.m., while there is a mandatory riders meeting at 1:45 p.m., while the race starts at 2 p.m. The goal for the race is for riders to hit all the checkpoints and complete as many laps as possible in a three-hour time limit.
