Boise State’s Allie Ostrander was named the Mountain West Conference Track Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon, just four days after setting a top-10 all-time mark in the women’s 10,000 meters.
Ostrander finished third March 29 in a loaded field of professional and collegiate runners at the Stanford Invitational in California, posting a time of 32 minutes, 6.71 seconds, which set the Boise State school and conference record in the event. It also was fast enough to make it as the 10th-fastest outdoor women’s time in the 10K in NCAA history. Ostrander was the top college runner in the field.
