Piranhas sweep area championships

The Peninsula Piranhas swim club swept the South Central Area Championships on Friday and Saturday at Kenai Central High School.

In the girls competition, the Piranhas scored 192 points while the Kachemak Swim Club had 190, the Seward Tsunami Swim Club had 103 and the Soldotna Silver Salmon had 54.

In the boys competition, the Piranhas had 292, the Tsunami had 102, the Silver Salmon had 86 and Kachemak had 62.
