Pothast, Brennan top Salmon Cycle Series #7

John-Mark Pothast and Angie Brennan were the top riders at Salmon Cycle Series #7 on Thursday at Tsalteshi Trails.

The series progresses in difficulty, and this week’s course fit that bill, traveling up the big hills on the Goat and Bear loops. The trail was about 7.2 miles.

Pothast won by finishing in 31 minutes, 32 seconds, while Tony Eskelin was second at 31:57 and Tanner Best was third at 33:07.

Brennan led all the women by crossing the line at 37:10, while Jen Tabor was next at 42:03 and Laura Mohorcich was third at 42:37.

The Salmon Cycle Series continues Thursday at 6 p.m. at Tsalteshi Trails. Races are $5 each, or free for Tsalteshi Trails Association members. There is no online registration. Just pay before the race.
