The Kenai Central baseball team defeated Redington 15-0 in two innings Saturday at the Kenai Little League fields in Northern Lights Conference play.
The Kardinals are 8-4 in the league and 8-5 overall.
Braden Smith pitched a scoreless and hitless two innings for Kenai, walking two and striking out five.
At the plate, Owen Whicker scored two runs, Smith scored three runs, Charlie Chamberlain was 2 for 3 with two runs and two RBIs, Kalani Beddow scored two runs, Avery Martin scored two runs, and Jayden Sandahl had two RBIs.
Soldotna 17, Grace Christian 2
The visiting Stars topped the Grizzlies in Northern Lights Conference action Saturday.
Soldotna moves to 8-2 in the league and 10-6 overall.
Andrew Pieh pitched all five innings for SoHi, giving up two runs on seven hits while walking none and striking out nine.
Pieh helped himself at the plate by going 2 for 3 with two runs. Also for the Stars, Sage Cruz scored twice, Jayden Stuyvesant was 2 for 4 with three runs and three RBIs, Brayden Hostetler had two runs, Trenton Ohnemus was 2 for 2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Colby Sturman was 2 for 4 with four RBIs.
