The Soldotna hockey team defeated Juneau-Douglas Yadaa.at Kale 3-1 on Saturday in Northern Lights Conference play at the Soldotna Regional Sports Complex.
The Stars avenged a 4-3 loss on Friday night to the Crimson Bears. Both teams are now 1-1 in the league, while the Stars are 4-1 overall.
Juneau’s Luke Bovitz, assisted by Sonny Monsef, had the lone goal of the first period.
In the second period, Andrew Arthur tied the game with help from Mykah Booth and Marshall Deraeve.
With 10:04 left in the game, Gehret Medcoff put the Stars in front for the first time all weekend on a Daniel Heath assist.
With 1:48 left, Payton Williams finished off the win with a Luke Stuber helper.
Brycen Clyde had 32 saves for Soldotna, while Mason Sooter stopped 16 for the Crimson Bears.
