Saturday: South completes 3-0 trip to peninsula by topping Kenai

The South hockey team finished a 3-0 trip to the Kenai Peninsula with an 8-6 nonconference victory over Kenai Central on Saturday at the Kenai Multi-Purpose Facility.

The Division I Wolverines improve to 9-4-1, while the Division II Kardinals fall to 9-7.

South had to survive a four-goal effort from Logan Mese to get the victory.

Mese scored twice in the first five minutes of the game to spot the Kards a 2-0 lead, but Chase Mascelli made it 2-1.
