Seward opened up its Southcentral Conference volleyball schedule Thursday night in Seward with a clean sweep of Anchorage Christian Schools. The Seahawks won with game scores of 25-12, 25-21 and 25-15.
Seward moved its overall season mark to 1-1, after a home opener loss to Kenai on Tuesday.
New Seward coach Jaime Frederickson lauded the play of her servers, senior Maria Jackson and junior Jessica Honebien. Frederickson added that libero Paige Carter-Kurtz provided excellent digs and passes.
Senior Kiana Clemens had seven blocks, three kills and five hits, while teammates Carrie Anderson provided 11 hits and three kills and Misha Johnson had seven hits.
