The host Seward volleyball team pulled off a big comeback for a five-set victory over Nikiski on Thursday in Southcentral Conference play.
The Bulldogs won the first two games 25-21 and 25-23 before the Seahawks roared back for 25-21, 25-10 and 15-11 victories.
Nikiski drops to 1-6 in the league and 1-9 overall in nontournament play, while Seward improves to 3-2 in the league and 4-3 overall.
Mckinlee Jeffreys had 21 digs for the Bulldogs, while Jaycee Tauriainen had 17 digs and 10 assists, Ariel VanZandt had eight kills and four blocks, Savanna Stock had nine aces and Ashlynne Playle had seven kills.
