Seward’s Hannah Lafleur ran to victory in the Little Su 50K on Saturday in Big Lake.
Lafleur, the two-time defending champion in the Mount Marathon Race, finished in 4 hours, 16 minutes and 58 seconds, for the women’s and overall victory. Nikiski’s Ben Lavigueur was the first men’s finisher, and second overall, at 4:37:19. Lavigueur has three overall Little Su titles to his credit.
Also from the Kenai Peninsula in the run, Seward’s Carey Quiring was 11th among women in 7:46:14, while Kenai’s M. Scott Moon was 12th among men at 7:53:04.
In the Little Su 50K bike, Anchorage’s Jason Lamoreaux won at 1:55:01, while Anchorage’s Amber Stull was the top woman at 2:08:24. Soldotna’s Alicia Driscoll was 15th among women at 3:16:24.
The Little Su 50K ski went to Valdez’s Eric Auten in 2:51:47.
In the Susitna 100, which had to be shortened slightly due to overflow, Anchorage’s Allan Spangler took the run at 17:29:00, while Anchorage’s Laura McDonough was the top woman at 22:13:00.
Kenai’s Eric Thomason was sixth among men at 24:47:13, while Fritz Creek’s Stephanie Schmit was third among women at 27:07:00.
In the bike, Anchorage’s Will Ross won at 6:44:00, while the top woman was Anchorage’s Laura Fox at 7:46:30.
In the ski, Anchorage’s Chet Fehrmann won at 10:01:30, while Denali Park’s Jan Tomsen was the top woman at 12:28:00. Homer’s Zach Bonham was fifth among men at 14:58:00.
