The Homer Mariners rolled out an 11-3 Northern Lights Conference victory Tuesday night in five innings over Kenai Central at the Kenai softball fields.
Homer (7-4 overall) got superb pitching from Annalyn Brown, who went the distance with six strikeouts. Brown gave up three earned runs on four walks and five hits.
Cierra King struck out nine for Kenai, but took the loss in a complete-game effort, giving up seven earned runs on six hits and seven walks.
Homer outhit Kenai 6 to 5, led by Annali Metz’ 2-for-3 day. Mary Hana Bowe and Elsie Smith each knocked in two runs for Homer.
