The host Soldotna C girls basketball team defeated Ninilchik 39-16 on Wednesday. The Wolverines fell to 2-3 with the loss.
The Stars led 16-9 at the half, then won the second half 23-7.
Morgan Lemm had 13 for the Stars, while Kaytlin McAnelly had 11.
For Ninilchik, Rebecca Okonek had nine points, while Autumn Calabrese, Mia DenBoer and Dakotah Buhr all had two. Jade Robuck added a point.
Ninilchik boys 63, Soldotna JV 23
The visiting Wolverines improved to 4-1 by cruising past the Stars JV.
Ninilchik led 12-6 after a quarter and 30-16 at the half.
For the Wolverines, George Nelson had 19 points, Landon Colburn had 17 points and Jaylin Scott had 10 points. Also for Ninilchik, Branden Ducker had six, Blake Lemons had five and Ceiony Allen, Thomas Nelson and Cooper Adams had two.
For Soldotna’s JV, Hamilton Hurt and Brayden Taylor led the way with six.
