SoHi volleyball shares bronze with Palmer at Chugiak Invite

The Soldotna volleyball team shared the bronze with Palmer on Friday and Saturday at the 12-team Chugiak Invitational.

The tournament used pool play to seed a tournament bracket.

Soldotna came into the bracket with the third seed. The Stars topped No. 6 West 2-0 before losing to second-seeded Dimond 2-0. Dimond went on to defeat top-seeded Wasilla 2-0 for the tournament crown.

The Stars had finished 8-3 in pool play. In pool play, the Stars defeated Colony 25-8, defeated Bethel 25-16, defeated Chugiak 25-22, defeated Mountain City Christian Academy 26-24, lost to Service 25-17, defeated Palmer 27-25, lost to Dimond 25-15, defeated West 25-18, defeated Eagle River 25-23, lost to Wasilla 25-15 and defeated Bartlett 25-12.

Sadie Lane made the all-tournament team for the Stars.
