Soldotna’s Wyatt Faircloth was named the Most Valuable Player at the Al Aska Shrine Classic on Saturday, Nov. 2, at The Dome in Anchorage.
The game spotlights seniors from the football programs in Alaska.
Faircloth had a string of tackles in the game, including five for loss. He also scored two touchdowns on the ground.
Faircloth was on the Blue team, which fell 30-28 to the Red team. Soldotna’s Lokeni Wong was named the Defensive Player of the Game for the Blue team.
Peninsula players on the Blue team were SoHi’s Luke Miller, Nikiski’s Ethan Ellis, Wong, Homer’s Irimey Reutov, Nikiski’s Kevin Love, Faircloth, Homer’s Jaydan Stanish, Soldotna’s Kenai Lepule, Soldotna’s Elijah Lee and Nikiski’s Zach Hockema.
Peninsula players on the Red team were Seward’s Brett Gilmore and Kenai Central’s Rohan Hansen.
