The Kenai Peninsula was able to pick off a couple titles at the massive Bartlett/Chugiak Invite on Friday and Saturday in Anchorage.
Seward sent its swimmers to the meet, while Soldotna sent its divers.
Abriella Werner won the diving competition for the Stars, finishing with 421.50 points, while runner-up Charlize McManus of Colony was second at 389.85. Werner also broke SoHi’s 11-dive record with her performance, topping the previous best of 407.65.
SoHi’s Derrick Jones was ninth in the boys competition at 217.95.
Seward was able to roll up a number of top-six performances at the meet, led by the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team of Bengimin Ambrosiani, Nickolas Ambrosiani, Iver Gates and Oliver Trobaugh. The four swam 3 minutes, 29.01 seconds, to take the event.
The same group also took third place in the 200 free relay at 1:32.83.
Nickolas Ambrosiani was second in the 100 butterfly at 55.32 and fourth in the 100 backstroke at 56.80. Bengimin Ambrosiani was third in the 100 free at 50.37 and fifth in the 200 free at 1:54.04.
