Jolie Widaman, a senior at Soldotna High School, signed her National Letter of Intent on Tuesday to play soccer at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington.
Bellevue has seen recent success under coach Richard Romain-Dika. In the spring season of 2021, which replaced the 2020 fall season lost to the coronavirus pandemic, the Bulldogs went 7-0-2. In 2019, the Bulldogs were 14-4-1 overall. Bellevue plays in the Northwest Athletic Conference, the largest community college conference in the United States.
Widaman is a three-sport athlete at Soldotna, competing in volleyball, basketball and soccer. Widaman helped lead the Stars to conference championships in soccer in her freshman and junior seasons, and also led SoHi to a Division II state runner-up finish in 2021.
Widaman is the daughter of Matt Widaman and Jill DuFloth.
