Kaillee Skjold, a graduate of Soldotna High School, scored her 1,000th career point to help the University of Alaska Fairbanks defeat Concordia (Oregon) University 79-74 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play in Portland.
Skjold, a senior, hit 10 of her 21 shots from the floor to put up a game-high 26 points. She also had 10 rebounds, two steals and a game-high six assists in collecting her second straight double-double, and her sixth double-double this season. Skjold now had 1,003 career points.
UAF came back from 13 points down in the beginning of the fourth quarter in the game.
