Soldotna volleyball sweeps Seward

The visiting Soldotna volleyball team swept Seward 25-16, 25-20 and 26-24 on Tuesday in nonconference action.

The Stars are now 5-3 in nontournament play, while the Seahawks are 5-6.

Veronica Crane had 21 digs for Soldotna, while Sarah Brown had 12.

Sarah Brown paced SoHi with 28 assists, while Sadie Lane had 12 kills and Morgan Simac had seven.

Hallie Fischer put up five blocks for Soldotna, while Kate Curtis had five aces, Brown had four aces and Lane had three aces.

Soldotna travels to play Wasilla on Friday at 7 p.m., while Homer hosts Seward on Friday at 6 p.m.
