The Soldotna girls won the team title Friday and Saturday at the Houston Altercation at Houston High School, while the Soldotna boys, whose football team is still in the playoffs, took third.
The SoHi girls won with 122 points, with Colony second at 91. Also from the Kenai Peninsula, Seward was 16th with 16 points and Nikiski was 17th with 13 points.
The South boys won the meet with 306.5 points, while runner-up Colony had 254.5 and the Stars had 243.5. Also from the Kenai Peninsula, Seward was seventh with 128.5 and Nikiski was 17th with 64.
Winning titles for the Stars were Sam Strouse at 103 pounds, Valerie McAnelly at girls 107, Angelina Chavarria at girls 114 and Kaytlin McAnelly at girls 138.
Also for Soldotna, Jacob Strausbaugh was second at 125, Jessica LeClair was second at girls 107, Alyssa McDonald was second at girls 165, Titus Watts was third at 125, Bowen Korth was third at 171, Infinity-Ann Asiata-Higa was third at girls 185, Daisy Hannevold was fourth at girls 145, Bella Byrd was fourth at girls 185 and Tristin Byrd was sixth at girls 138.
For Seward, Ridge Conant was second at 112, Hunter Forshee-Kurtz was second at 130, John Van Buskirk was third at 285, Kat Noll was fourth at girls 132, Tommy Jarnig was fourth at 103 and Alejandro Sanchez was fourth at 135.
For Nikiski, Mayaac Schmit won the title at 285. Also for the Bulldogs, Destiny Langston was third at girls 235.
