Soldotna’s Ostrander named Mountain West Indoor Women’s Track and Field Student Athlete of the Year

Soldotna’s Allie Ostrander was named the Mountain West Indoor Women’s Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year by the conference Monday.

The Boise State freshman won the award with fellow Broncos runner David Elliott, who was the Mountain West Indoor Men’s Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year.

The two athletes are Boise’s first indoor athletes of the year since joining the conference in 2012. It is also the first time since 2011 that a university swept the men’s and women’s honors.
