Thursday volleyball: Nikiski sweeps Homer

The visiting Nikiski volleyball team defeated Homer on Thursday in Southcentral Conference action.

The Bulldogs notched a 25-15, 25-17 and 25-21 victory to move to 6-1 in the league and 6-2 overall. Homer is 3-3 and 4-4.

Evelyn Reichert and Kailey Stynsberg each had 12 digs for Nikiski, while Avery Ellis had 16 assists and Milly Hornung had 12 assists.

Ashlynne Playle had 10 kills, while Mandee Roofe had seven kills and Blakeley Jorgensen had seven kills and three blocks.
