The Nikolaevsk girls routed Cook Inlet Academy 54-8 Tuesday night in a Peninsula Conference clash in Nikolaevsk. The win lifted the Warriors to 4-0 in conference, 11-6 overall.
Nikolaevsk co-captain Serafima Kalugin notched 16 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, to lead the Warriors, while fellow co-captain Megan Hickman chipped in nine.
Adara Warren led CIA with five points, recording two of CIA’s three buckets in the game.
Nikolaevsk led 29-5 at halftime, then shut out CIA from the floor in the third quarter, holding the Eagles to one point on a free throw attempt. The Warriors finished off the game by outscoring CIA 17-2 in the final period of action.
