The Post 20 Twins took just 10 players to Kodiak and came away with four wins.

The Twins complete the four-game weekend sweep Sunday with an 8-3, seven-inning, nonleague win. That victory puts the local nine at 8-6 overall.

The Twins are now off until Friday, when they travel to face West at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, Post 20 notched the win with six of their 10 players making appearances on the mound.

“We pitched everybody who was available to pitch today,” coach Robb Quelland said.

Porter Fannon pitched one inning and gave up two runs on three hits, Harrison Metz pitched a perfect inning, Seth Adkins pitched an inning and gave up a hit and a run, Kenny Griffin pitched a perfect inning, Paul Steffensen gave up just a hit in an inning, and Calvin Hills closed by holding the Bears scoreless for two innings.

“It was really amazing,” Quelland said. “A couple kids, I wouldn’t call it struggling, but they just looked like they worked harder.”

After a long weekend of baseball, and with many players staffing unfamiliar positions, Quelland gave the group credit for coming through.

“It was nice to see the young kids come out and stay focused,” Quelland said.

On offense, Mose Hayes was 2 for 3 with three RBIs, Hills was 2 for 4 with two runs and Griffin was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI. Steffensen also added two runs.
