Host Eagle River swept a doubleheader from the American Legion Post 20 Twins on Wednesday.
The Wolves are now 9-0 in the league and 11-0 overall, while the Twins are 4-3 and 6-5.
Eagle River took the league game 9-2. The Twins had a 2-0 lead entering the bottom of the fifth, but the Wolves pushed across nine runs in that frame to take control of the game.
Malakai Olson went 4 2-3 innings for the Twins, giving up three runs on three hits while walking five and striking out one. Gabe Smith did not record an out, giving up four runs on three hits. Andrew Pieh gave up two runs on two hits in 1 1-3 innings.
The Twins got three hits, from Jayden Stuyvesant, Levi Mickelson and Jacob Joanis. Smith and Mickelson had the runs, while Jacob Joanis and Matthew Schilling had the RBIs.
The Wolves then took the nonconference game 14-1 in five innings.
Jacob Joanis gave up 11 runs — 10 earned — on eight hits in an inning, while Gabe Joanis gave up three runs on five hits in an inning, and Schilling gave up no runs and two hits in two innings.
The Twins got hits from Smith and Stuyvesant. Smith had the run, while Stuyvesant had the RBI.
Next up for the Twins is the Lance Coz Big Fish Wood Bat Tournament.
The tournament actually starts Saturday in Anchorage when Palmer plays Napoleon (Ohio) at noon and Service plays Palmer at 2:30 p.m.
The rest of the games are at Coral Seymour Memorial Park in Kenai.
Sunday, the Twins play Napoleon at 11 a.m., the Twins play Service at 2 p.m. and Napoleon plays Service at 4:30 p.m.
Monday, Kenai plays Palmer at 11 a.m. and the title game is at 2 p.m.
